The American Marketing Association, one of the largest professional associations for marketers, has 38,000 members worldwide in every area of marketing. For over six decades the AMA has been the leading source for information, knowledge sharing and development in the marketing profession.
The American Marketing Association is an international professional organization for people involved in the practice, study and teaching of marketing. Our principal roles are:
- To always understand and satisfy the needs of marketers so as to provide them with products and services that will help them be better marketers.
- To empower marketers through information, education, relationships and resources that will enrich their professional development and careers.
- To advance the thought, application and ethical practice of marketing.
NNU's AMA chapter is active throughout campus and the community, hosting several student events and engaging in community service. These activities include:
Dr. Love: A chapter fundraising event that brings the campus together for a night of live auction dates!
Fall Ball: An evening that provides an opportunity for the faculty/staff of the Business Department to better know their students outside of the classroom by playing games such as dodgeball and volleyball together. It gets pretty competitive!
Rake-Up Nampa: A day filled with raking leaves for those in the community who need a little extra help!
Being a collegiate chapter, NNU's chapter attend's the annual International AMA Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. At the conference, chapters are judged on their planning and performance for the year. Chapter members also get the opportunity to listen to guest speakers from large corporations and network with other AMA members around the country.
